A gathering of people interested in a disciplined meditation/contemplation practice.

A meditation session for beginners will be held at Lime Rock Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 18 at 7:00 pm. The session will be the first in a series and will be a basic introduction to meditation. Some of the fundamental dynamics of contemplative practice will be described. Meditation is an easily accessible activity. The preliminary techniques will be demonstrated.

The meditation program at Lime Rock is organized and led by the Rev. Gene Dyszlewski, who is trained and experienced in Christian and Indo-Tibetan Practices. The program is non-denominational and inclusive, respecting the secular or religious orientation of the practitioner.

Participants are encouraged to explore a variety of approaches and styles of practices. The spiritual journey is more about being open to the world than belonging to a club. This session begins with discussion and is followed by a period of practice. While there is no cost associated with this program, participants may wish to bring a canned good contribution to the food pantry.
